The Afterlife

Why are we here? One of the fundamental questions we all long for when we look up at the stars. There is a lot of info available for us to digest and process, more than most people realize. By understanding what happens to us after we leave the body, we can better understand why we are here.

Developing a better understanding of the afterlife doesn’t change the day to day struggles and triumphs of being here, although the framework of our existence is helpful in understanding our lives. If you knew in your heart that we live forever, that its you forever, how does this change your thinking? Does it change your actions? If you knew you hand picked your challenges and manifest your life, how does this change your acceptance? If you knew you reviewed this life later, based on how others perceived your interactions with them, what would you do?

If everyone on Earth knew this, how different would we live? Could we find peace, end wars and suffering? Who knows, but we probably all agree we can do better. We underestimate our power to love, to raise our vibration, and the ripple affect we can have. What you bring to your mind, you bring to your life. It may be easier that we make it sometimes.

Many people turn away from their spirituality because of bad experiences with religion or religious people. The reality is, all paths lead to the same place. Its like putting on different lenses to see the sun, it doesn’t change the sun. That is the simplest way I can think of to explain it. We focus on the sun, without evaluating the pro and cons of each lens. To each their own. Our truth is that we all go on past the death of our bodies, period. You don’t have to adopt the beliefs of others, or follow one specific path. You are going to continue to be yourself, when you leave here.

Depending what you believe, the afterlife may bring us to the light with the various religious figures who have lived on earth. Or none at all. Over time there, we understand that there is no “right” way, and certainly there is no path that does not lead to the light. There is complete acceptance and love.
